Doctors
I recently switched my insurance during open enrollment from an HMO to a PPO, figuring I would have way more choices of doctors to see, and not have to get referals from my PCP.
Wrong.
I have been trying to make an appointment with a doctor for 4 days now.
They tell me they don’t access BlueCross PPO, yet it lists on the website that they are accepting new patients!
So I figure fine, someone highly recommended that guy, but hey…there are more.
So I call on that specializes in the types of issues I have, and basically tells me he knows nothing about it.
I asked if he could refer me to someone that could help and he said no.
So I am not feeling well anyway, and then to keep running into a brick wall when trying to get help for a very serious condition—-one that can be life-threatening. It makes me just want to give up.
Perhaps there is no hope….even if you have a decent job and good insurance.

guess i should just switch back to the cheaper HMO—at least I got to see someone under that program!!!!
I will be dead by the time any of these PPO doctors will see me.
healthcare…..even when you think you have it, you don’t.
